As we build the membership of this community through this new platform it is important for everyone to understand what BORDERPOL has been doing since March 2003.
The following is extracted directly from the BORDERPOL Constitution and By Laws.
2. MISSION OF BORDERPOL
(a) To promote the widest possible mutual
assistance between all border enforcement
authorities within the limits of the laws
existing in the different countries and in the
spirit of the “Universal Declaration of
Human Rights”;
(b)To promote safe and secure borders
through good border governance and
complementing the efforts of existing
international organizations through dynamic
and effective partnerships through global
cooperation, communication and
consultation among border security
professionals;
(c) To work with border services the world
over to develop active and successful
partnerships that promote research in the
field of border security and intelligence in
the interest of higher education, scholarship
and an informed public opinion;
(d) To promote international peace and
security in accordance with the principles of
international justice as embraced by the
family of the United Nations;
(e) To provide a body of resource expertise
in order to facilitate awareness and
understanding of the activities of the
international border security community;
(f) To hold an annual meeting and
conference, as well as special conferences
on the advice of stakeholders and state
actors on particular themes;
(g) To publish a regular newsletter
containing information about the
Organization and it activities and other items
pertinent to the Organization's mandate;
(h) To study the role of border security, to
foster the accumulation of knowledge about
such activities, and to study the relationships
between border security agencies,
governmental institutions and civil societies;
(i) To provide professional developmental
assistance and training to organizations and
border security agencies.

In January 1958 the Canadian post office issued a commemorative stamp that celebrated "A Free Press".
Since then 66 years have passed and no other stamp has been issued by the post office to observe or signify any similar sentiments. It reflects a country that has lost its way on so many levels.
While collecting stamps is an almost dead hobby it does however reflect the history of a country. They are actually tiny legal propaganda leaflets that grace the envelope and spread the word of the government of the country.
Today Canada's leftist Liberal minority government is hell bent on passing legislation that will put an end to a free press and freedom of expression that is not in line with the elite woke and frankly neo authoritarian leadership. Our opinion piece on Bill C-63 here on Locals and on X has been published reflecting our deep concern for our state of affairs.

In a free country with a free press people are allowed to say what's on their mind regardless of the actual value of their opinions to others. In Canada that means that if you disparage the governments policies or the oppositions alternative policies, you can do so at this moment in time.
However the current MINORITY government and the operative word is MINORITY is looking for legislative ways to curtail such freedoms by passing Bill C-63 that will only permit speech and expression that its Liberal Party leadership and adherents support.
This weekend the X platform has been flooded with a well coordinated anti opposition and anti Poilievre posting flood many of which are clearly bots. Most spread negative comments and a goodly amount of lies about any and all things associated with the opposition party or its leadership.
Under the current law of the land this is permitted and so it should be. As disgusting and filthy as political smut is, its the cost of a functioning democracy. ...

UK societal explosion and riots - both predictable as underclass Brits crushed by neoliberal elites using Islamists as cover. Biden coup and ouster by powerful war mongering insiders. Gaza destruction by proxy. Ukraine meat grinder driven by EU warmongers and military industrial complex. Stock market sinking as pensions health care rule of law and education levels are driven ever lower in wester societies. Lawless migration patterns expanding worldwide. Bangladesh genocides.
